The Overlap Pressure Treated Apex Workshop from Forest is a great value way of adding a large, versatile working area to your outdoor space. This attractive looking building features a wide front which gives plenty of space for storage or for lining the sides and back with shelves and work benches whilst still having enough space left to move around. The sheds improved design features smaller sections, making it easier to handle and easy to assemble. These are the best overlap sheds we've ever made.

The garden building features increased framing and a metal roof truss bracket for additional strength. Access in and out of the shed is maximised with large double doors that are braced with double Z framing for added strength and feature hidden hinges for increased security. The hasp and plate door fastening can be secured with a padlock

The pressure treatment of this shed guarantees it against rot and decay for 15 years. All fixtures, fittings, felt needed to build this shed are included, along with easy to follow instructions.

Base preparation & siting

Prepare a solid, flat and level base before assembly. Forest recommends concrete, paving slabs on a properly prepared level bed, or a suitable timber shed base. Do not erect the shed directly on grass or soil. Check that an existing base is sound and level so the panels align and the doors operate correctly.

Base size: Use the supplier-confirmed floor footprint for your chosen size, not the nominal feet size or the overall dimensions above, which include overhangs. Contact us to confirm the exact base dimensions for your variant before laying a foundation.

Drainage & location: Forest advises raising the shed 50mm above ground level and matching a concrete base to the shed footprint so surface water can run off without pooling. Leave access to all sides for assembly and maintenance, and allow space for roof overhangs and the doors to open fully.

Included & anchoring: The solid timber floor, pressure-treated floor bearers, assembly fixtures and fittings, roof felt and instructions are included. Floor bearers are not a substitute for a prepared foundation. Before installation, confirm any anchoring requirements and suitable fixings for your base and site with Forest or your installer; do not assume the assembly fittings include ground anchors.
